AF Band Holiday Concert
Elmer Hill, the second oldest World War II veteran, was recognized during a holiday concert by the U.S. Air Force Band Dec. 15, 2013, at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Udvar-Hazy Center, Chantilly, Va. Hill, now 107 years old, was drafted into the Navy at age 35 in 1942 and served as a gunner in the Pacific theater aboard the USS Saginaw Bay aircraft carrier. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
