Balad Airmen take on galactic mission
Staff Sgt. Charlton Packham uses a condor lift to access the top of a C-5 Galaxy Jan. 12 at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The C-5 can hold a cargo load of 270,000 pounds, fly 2,150 nautical miles, offload and fly to a second base 500 nautical miles away from the original destination without refueling.
