Staff Sgt. Brian Hlywa performs a diagnostic check on an uninstalled Pratt and Whitney F-100-PW-220 jet engine at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., May 21. The F-100-PW-220 is the engine used in the 4th Fighter Wing's F-15E Strike Eagles, the Air Force's all-weather, dual-role fighter jet. Sergeant Hlywa is responsible for making final inspections on these engines before they are reinstalled in the aircraft.
