Airman survives 'million-dollar' wound
Airman 1st Class Michael Brady receives the Iraq Campaign Medal and the Purple Heart from Brig. Gen. Burton M. Field, commander of the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing, at the Air Force Theater Hospital at Balad Air Base, Iraq, Oct. 14. Airman Brady earned the medals while augmenting the Army in a non-traditional "in-lieu-of" tasking where he was wounded by sniper fire while on patrol in Ad Diwaniyah, Iraq.
