An Afghan air force Mi-35 fires 57 mm S-5 rockets during a live-fire exercise May 15, 2013, south of Kabul, Afghanistan. In addition to S-5 rocket pods, the Mi-35s from the 377th Rotary Wing Squadron were also equipped with newly mounted twin-barreled Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-23 guns. This live fire exercise marked the first time in history that the Afghan air force has had these weapons systems installed on the Mi-35 helicopters. (U.S. Air Force photo)
