F-35B Lightning II
F-35B maintainers perform "hot" refueling of an F-35B Lightning II joint strike fighter at Eglin Air Force Base Fla., on May 22, 2013. In the year since the Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron-501 flew its first F-35B mission at Eglin's 33d Fighter Wing, it's pilots have flown 833 local sorties and logged more than 1,100 flight hours. They also developed procedures for refueling the F-35B with the engine "hot" or running. Eglin is the heart of F-35 training worldwide for the Air Force, Marines, Navy and international partner operators and maintainers of the Lightning II. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. Karen Roganov)
