Combat controllers from the 21st Special Tactics Squadron shouldered their part of the six-mile journey honoring a fallen comrade, Staff Sgt. Andrew Harvell or “Big Andy” at Pope Field, N.C., March 15, 2013. The log was carved with Harvell’s mantra “Victory or Valhalla” and his nickname “Big Andy” on the other.
