First salute
Shortly after being commissioned as a second lieutenant, former Staff Sgt. Donna Tluczek returns a salute to her husband, Tech. Sgt. Pawel Tluczek. Sergeant Tluczek rendered the first enlisted salute from more than 8,000 miles away in Southwest Asia. The salute was broadcast via the Internet in order to allow Sergeant Tluczek to take part in his wife’s commissioning ceremony, which took place Feb.2, 2012, at the Air Force ROTC Detachment 610 headquarters inside the University of North Dakota Armory.
