Retired Lt. Col. Donald Wheeler (left) rides in the rear seat of a T-38 Talon, as it comes to a stop March 17, 2011, on the flightline at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. This T-38 has been painted with a special commemorative color scheme, giving the plane an appearance similar to its original 1961 look.
