Fuel savings
Capt. James Sprys operates Mission Index Flying software on an Air Mobility Command mission laptop computer. MIF uses airborne solution software in the cockpit, allowing aircrews to fly at optimal altitudes and airspeeds for their current flight conditions, thereby minimizing flight time and fuel burn and reducing operating costs. Captain Sprys is a 6th Airlift Squadron C-17 Globemaster III aircraft commander. (Courtesy photo)
