CCATT Transfer
Medical personnel transport a critically ill patient from a KC-135 Stratotanker to Tripler Army Medical Center Nov. 17, 2010. This is the first time CCATT East element has transported a critically ill patient during peacetime. The CCATT is a specialized, three-person medical team whose primary mission is to provide critical-care management for critically ill or injured patients who require transport to advanced medical treatment facilities. The medical team is from the 18th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at Kaden Air Base Japan; the 15th Medical Group and Critical Care Air Transport Team East element at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii; and Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii, (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech.
