Airman close to death, wingman stays by his side
Senior Airman Erving Perkins wheels his wingman, Airman Colton Brown, out of Walter Reed Army Medical Center Oct. 8, 2010, for the first time while recovering from an illness. Shortly after arriving at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, fluid was found in Airman Brown's lungs, drainage tubes were placed and he was medically evacuated from the Air Force Theater Hospital to Germany.
