Total force aeromedical evacuation technicians gain unique training
Staff Sgt. Carl Stewart II (right) explains to how to construct a patient support pallet to Capt. Constance Mackus June 26, 2010 onboard a KC-135R Stratotanker in Melbourne, Fla. PSPs are used aboard aircraft like the KC-135R, the C-17 Globemaster III and the C-130 Hercules to allow aeromedical evacuation specialists to administer care to patients during flight. Sergeant Stewart and Capt. Mackus joined other Airmen from the 36th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron and the 43rd AES in a three-day total force aeromedical evacuation training mission here.
