Iraqi airmen closer to controlling Taji tower
Air traffic control instructor Patsy Thomas and Iraqi air force 2nd Lt. Shorsh watch the flightline at Camp Taji, Iraq, from the air traffic control tower. People from the Iraqi Training and Advisory Mission are in the process of transferring all operations to the Iraqi military. Ms. Thomas is a member of the Washington Construct Group and is part of the transition team assisting in instructing future Iraqi air traffic controllers.
