American servicemembers bridge gap between Afghan provinces, relationships

A U.S. Army helicopter flies over Afghanistan's flag on Dec. 26, 2009, at Zabul Province, Afghanistan. Afghans celebrated the Arghandab Bridge opening. The bridge is important to security in the winter and spring months when forces were previously limited to being supported by helicopter due to high water levels.
