A-10 Hog Up
Newly modified A-10 Thunderbolt II wings await installation Dec. 17, 2009, at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group facility at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz. A-10s are undergoing an upgrade, affectionately called the "Hog Up," that will make the wings of the tank killer thicker and stronger while increasing the service life of the aircraft another 8,000 hours in the air.
