AFMC Freedom's Call Tattoo 2010 scheduled for June 25
Tattoo's theme for 2010 will commemorate veterans from the Korean War, which began June 25, 1950, when North Korea opened fire on South Korea's Army positions south of the 38th parallel, the line which serves as the border between the two countries. Pictured here are Brig. Gen. Courtney Whitney; Gen. Douglas MacArthur, Commander in Chief of U.N. Forces; and Maj. Gen. Edward M. Almond observing the shelling of Inchon from the U.S.S. Mt. McKinley, Sept. 15, 1950. (U.S. Army historical photo)
