Air Force nurses welcome Iraqi colleagues, share skills

Capt. Fredrick Santillan explains the cardiopulmonary system to Iraqi nurses and nursing students Dec. 9, 2009, at the Air Force Theater Hospital at Joint Base Balad, Iraq. The class was part of the Iraqi Nursing Partnership Program, aimed to teach Iraqis modern medical techniques once a month. The students begin each class with a lecture covering the day's primary topic and then complete a hands-on portion, when they put those teachings into practice. Captain Santillan is a 332nd Expeditionary Medical Group registered nurse. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Brittany Y. Bateman)
