Cope Tiger set to kick off in Thailand
Lt. Col. Larry Germann (left) and Lt. Col. Don Herring (far right) brief members of the 51st Maintenance Group and 25th Fighter Squadron from Osan Air Base, South Korea, during their inprocessing Jan. 22 at Korat Royal Thai Air Base, Thailand. The 70 Osan AB members will participate in Exercise Cope Tiger '08, a Thai- and U.S.-sponsored multilateral joint and combined field training exercise and humanitarian and civic assistance exercise. Cope Tiger enhances combined readiness and interoperability, reinforces U.S. commitment to the Southeast Asian region, and demonstrates U.S. capability to project combined and joint forces strategically in a multilateral environment. Colonel Germann is the life fly cell director for Cope Tiger '08, and Colonel Herring is the 13th Air Force Air Expeditionary Wing vice commander. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Renee H. Lee)
