Airmen perform operations with Kyrgyz surgeons
Col. (Dr.) Jerrold Flyer listens as Janyl Sabirova, translator, explains the type injury the colonel will be operating on during a joint surgery Dec. 11, 2009, between him and a Kyrgyz doctor at a Kyrgyz hospital. A team of Airmen from the Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan, visited the hospital and assisted the Kyrgyz in two separate surgical operations. The joint procedures were part of an ongoing partnership between medical Airmen at the Transit Center and their counterparts at the Besh-Kungei Military Hospital.
