AIR FORCE PHOTOS

AGE makes a difference

Tech. Sgt. Tom Wilson (left) and Master Sgt. Tom Maple inspect lighting equipment Dec. 5 at March Air Reserve Base, Calif. Both are aircraft generation equipment technicans from the 452nd Maintenance Squadron and air Reserve technicians here. Air Reserve technicians are full-time civilian employees of the Air Force who must maintain active status as reservists in the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. They are permanent employees who, in the event of mobilization, are available for active duty in their assigned military position. They are essential for the operational readiness of their Reserve unit. In the background are KC-135 Stratotankers from the 336th Air Refueling Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Val Gempis)
