Staff Sgt. Amanda Murdock, a C-130 Hercules flight engineer, monitors various aircraft systems while in flight. Sergeant Murdock is with the 40th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron at an air base in Southwest Asia. The squadron transports passengers and cargo, performs airdrops of equipment and supplies and conducts aeromedical evacuation missions in support of operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.
