Records transfer marks historic milestone
Jo Hogue and Ron Hindman sign an official transfer document for approximately 177,000 official military personnel files reassigning ownership from the Air Force to the National Archives and Records Administration during a ceremony Nov. 18, 2009 in St. Louis. The transfer of records marked a milestone as the final service to make its historical documents a part of the public record. Ms. Hogue is the chief of master personnel and medical records branch at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, and Mr. Hindman is the National Personnel Records Center director.
