Ring is returned
Retired Col. James Hivner and retired Navy Cmdr. Rick Tolley embrace Nov. 11 at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison, Texas, as Phyllis Hivner looks on. Commander Tolley had taken on the task of finding the owner of a wedding ring that had been confiscated by North Vietnam soldiers from an American prisoner of war in 1965. The ring had been found recently in Vietnam and eventually passed to Commander Tolley who searched for its owner until he found Colonel Hivner. Family, friends and Airmen from Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, traveled to the museum to witness the return of the ring. (U.S. Air Force photo/LouAnne Sledge)
