Balad collects first universal plasma donation
Master Sgt. Les Blue checks a haemonetics machine while Tech. Sgt. Darrin Sewer sits in the donor's chair Aug. 5 at Balad Air Base, Iraq. Sergeant Sewer donated the first plasma in the area of responsibility. Sergeant Sewer has type AB plasma, the universal plasma type. The plasma will be used to supplement current supplies that are sent from the states. Sergeant Blue is a lab technician and NCO in charge of the Air Force Theater Hospital Apheresis Center.
