Communication Airmen provide critical wartime assets
Tech. Sgt. Gary Guzman recalls data communication cables in the ceiling of the new Air Force Theater Hospital in July at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The cables will be used in the Morale Welfare and Recreation Cafe used by wounded servicemembers. Sergeant Guzman is an Air Force Theater Hospital systems transition team member with the 332nd Expeditionary Medical Group's Expeditionary Medical Support Squadron. Throughout the transition, the Airmen pulled more than 50,000 feet of computer cables to set up computers, phones and paging systems. (U.S. Air Force photo/1st Lt. Shannon Collins)
