Elmendorf welcomes F-22 Raptor
An F-22 Raptor touches down at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, during a ceremony marking the aircraft's arrival Aug. 8. Elmendorf became the second operational base and the first Pacific Air Forces installation to receive the aircraft. The F-22 performs both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions allowing full realization of operational concepts vital to the 21st century Air Force.
