Airmen mentor Afghan National Army air corps soldiers
Brig. Gen. Frank Padilla congratulates members of an MI-17 helicopter flight crew from the Afghan National Army air corps July 25 at Kabul International Airport in Afghanistan. The flight crew successfully completed a mission during Operation Shukran where, for the first time, an ANA-only flight crew successfully inserted and extracted ANA commandos during the joint ANA and International Security Assistance Force operation. General Padilla is the Combined Air Power Transition Force commanding general which is part of the Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan with headquarters on Camp Eggers in Kabul.
