Drink up: Tigris River is life for troops in Baghdad
Senior Master Sgt. Ralph Long pours a sample of drinking water into a jar to test for bacteria and E. coli at Sather Air Base, Iraq. Residents at Sather AB use approximately 61,000 one-liter bottles of water every week. That's more than 116,000 gallons, just for potable water. Sergeant Long is assigned to the 447th Expeditionary Medical Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Russell Wicke)
