Planes over water

AIR FORCE PHOTOS

No easy day at the pool

Maj. Daniel Cordes (foreground) listens to instructions during water survival refresher training Sept. 8, 2009, at the natatorium indoor pool at Yokota Air Base, Japan. Survival, evasion, resistance and escape technicians teach the course to aircrew members at least once every three years. The training is especially important for Yokota aircrews, who routinely fly long distances over large bodies of water in the Pacific Rim. Major Cordes is with the 374th Airlift Wing's Inspector General office. (U.S. Air Force photo/Osakabe Yasuo)
