F-16 Fighting Falcons dropped guided bomb unit-12s and 38s, provided armed over-watch and shows of force with flares to support Operation Iraqi Freedom July 20. The F-16 is a compact, multi-role fighter aircraft. It is highly maneuverable and has proven itself in air-to-air combat and air-to-surface attack.
