Academy announces inaugural class into athletic hall of fame
Retired Col. John Clune, an All-American basketball player, is in the inaugural class being inducted into the Air Force Academy Athletic Hall of Fame. Among his achievements was serving as president of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. He lost a battle with bone cancer in 1992. In 1993, the Cadet Field House basketball arena was dedicated in his honor. (U.S. Air Force photo)
