Tacit farmers return to their roots at air base
Farming is considered the essence of life in Okinawa, Japan. Kadena Air Base's munitions storage area is host to nearly 700 tacit farmers from Kadena Town, Chatan Town and Yomitan, Japan. Tacit farmers work long hours and seem oblivious to the sounds of military aircraft flying overhead or the sight of those in military uniform passing by from time to time. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Rey Ramon)
