Air to ground power
Two A-10 Thunderbolt IIs and three F-16 Fighting Falcons fly in formation May 29 over the Pacific Alaska Range Complex in Alaska. The A-10s are from the from the 355th Fighter Squadron and the F-16s are assigned to the 18th Fighter Squadron, both from Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. Members of the 18th FS conduct air operations for combat-ready F-16s working closely with 355th FS members to provide close-air support, forward air control, battlefield air interdiction, and offensive counter air.
