Veterans, first timers benefit from Red Flag exercises

Capt. Warren Carroll and Lt. Col. Tyrell Chamberlain man the operations desk at Red Flag 09-5 Aug. 26, 2009 at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Colonel Chamberlain is the acting mission director for day and Captain Carroll is shadowing the colonel for training. Red Flag is an intense two-week combat scenario exercise where flyers integrate with other airframes and units to perform at large force employment.
