Air Force gains larger presence in Romania
Romanian Air Force Warrant Officer Marian Micheten (left) discusses the maintenance side of MiG-21 operations with Senior Master Sgt. Santos Rodriguez during Exercise Sniper Lance May 1 at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, Romania. The exercise is the first since U.S. and Romanian officials signed a Presence Agreement, which allowed for the presence of U.S. forces at Romanian bases beginning in 2007. Warrant Officer Micheten is a technician with the 862nd Squadron. Sergeant Rodriguez is the 493rd Aircraft Maintenance Unit lead production superintendent. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt.
