Balad chapel staff opens center in fallen pilot's honor
Staff Sgt. Brian Marts sets up a board games available at the new Troy's Place Airmen's Ministry Center May 4 at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The center is named in honor of Maj. Troy Gilbert, an F-16 Fighting Falcon pilot from Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., deployed to Balad AB, who died supporting U.S. ground forces pinned down by anti-Iraqi forces Nov. 27, 2006. The Airmen's Ministry Center is a place where Airmen can spend time in a quiet atmosphere. Sergeant Marts is a wing chaplain assistant. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Bryan Ripple)
