Dover reservists work to form Canadian sister squadron program
Tech. Sgt. Athena Mercer and Staff Sgt. Ryan Smith complete their maintenance checklists onboard a C-17 Globemaster III prior to take off Aug. 22. The two maintainers from the Air Force Reserve Command's 512th Airlift Wing at Dover Air Force Base, Del., were part of a crew going to visit Canadian airmen in the 8 Wing at Canadian Forces Base Trenton in Ontario Aug. 22 through 24. The purpose of the visit was to forge a partnership with the Canadian wing and identify future training opportunities for flying, aerial port operations, airlift control and maintenance procedures.
