Aerial porters saving countless lives moving air cargo in Iraq
Airmen offload a C-17 Globemaster III from Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., April 21 at at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq. Since January, Airmen assigned to the 438th Aerial Port Flight have processed more than 32,000 passengers, 15,528 tons of cargo and more than 2,600 aircraft, keeping nearly 12,000 American servicemembers off the roads in convoys.
