Kind generosity in Kabul
Marine Maj. Shawn Haney plays with a local refugee child April 8 in Dar Ul Aman in support of the Volunteer Community Reach Program in Kabul, Afghanistan. Volunteers for the outreach program provided a diversion for the children so that other volunteers could distribute, without distraction, 200 bags of clothes, shoes and toys donated from U.S. citizens. Each month the volunteers bring donated goods to the refugees. Maj. Haney is a religious cultural affairs mentor at the Human Resource Division within the Combined Security Training Command.
