Tuskegee Airmen convention recognizes top Airmen
Master Sgt. Derek Fromenthal is interviewed by Staff Sgt. Robert Hyman and Senior Airman Jonathan Garcia, from the 4th Combat Camera Squadron, after Sergeant Fromenthal was awarded the Chief Master Sgt. Fred Archer Award during the annual Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. convention in Las Vegas, Aug. 7. The award is named for the Air Force's first African-American chief master sergeant. Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the accomplishments of African-Americans who participated in air and ground crew and operations support in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
