Senior Airman Scott Rodrigues removes the tail hook dampener Feb. 22 at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. Airman Rodrigues is removing the F-15E Strike Eagle dampener during an aircraft transfer inspection at Elmendorf AFB. The aircraft transfer inspection was changed at Elmendorf AFB after being evaluated using Force Smart Operations for the 21st century. Instead of taking 10 days, the inspection is now complete in three. Airman Rodrigues is an assistant crew chief with the 90th Fighter Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Matthew Rosine)
