Staff Sgt. David Flowers was injured May 11 when he stepped on an antipersonnel mine near Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. Sergeant Flowers is currently being treated for his injuries at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Sergeant Flowers is an explosive ordnance disposal technician.
