Airmen add up damage at Wake Island
Debris and wreckage line the streets of Wake Island Sept. 14. Super Typhoon Ioke swept through Aug. 31 with wind speeds of 155 mph and gusts at 190 mph. A team of civil engineers and communications experts deployed to the atoll from Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, to estimate the extent of the damage left by the Category 5 storm.
