A million gallons and counting
Airman 1st Class Christopher Leach hauls a fuel hose from a tanker truck to an A-10 Thunderbolt II at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, on Aug. 5. Airman Leach has pumped more than 1 million gallons of jet fuel during his four-month air expeditionary force rotation at Bagram. The 455th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron Petroleum, Lubricants and Oil Flight has delivered almost 6.6 million gallons of fuel to military and civilian aircraft at Bagram since May.
