Wing surpasses combat hour milestone
Lt. Col. Christopher Didier (right), an F-15E pilot with the 336th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, and Capt. Thomas Veilleuxwalk, an F-15E weapons system operator, leave the flightline after completing a close-air-support mission June 9. In May, aircrews from the 336th EFS and the 74th EFS, who fly A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, together logged a total of more than 5,000 combat flight hours over Afghanistan. The aircraft assigned here provide close-air support and airborne intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance for American and coalition ground troops. (Air Force/Staff Sgt. Jason Lake)
