Mannequins help improve casualty care
Staff Sgt. Suellen Carire inserts a needle into the arm of her unique patient, a computerized mannequin, during a new Air Force Special Operations Command casualty evacuation course on Thursday, May 18, 2006. The realistic training is geared to better prepare medics for the chaos of combat operations. Sergeant Carire is from the 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., and was among the first students to attend the new course. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Timothy P. Barela)
