Airmen move troops
A contracted civilian airliner is prepared for departure at Manas Air Base, Kyrgyzstan, on Wednesday, March 15, 2006. Civilian air transportation is a key component in moving armed forces. Airliners arrive and depart the base day and night. The base population is normally about 1,000, but surges to 2,500 during Army rotation periods. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Lance Cheung)
