Amputee Airman overcomes cancer
Tech. Sgt. Matthew Profitt inspects a TTV-205 pressure tester that checks the C-5's pitot-static system for leaks. A pitot-static system supplies air pressure sensations directly to differential pressure flight instruments for the measurement of aircraft speed and altitude. In 2003, the Dover Air Force Base reservist's leg was amputated when he was diagnosed with epithelioid sarcoma, a malignant soft tissue tumor.
