C-17 a first at Hickam AFB
                HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii (AFPN) -- F-15B Eagles from the 199th Fighter Squadron, 154th Wing, Hawaii Air National Guard escort the first Hawaii-based C-17 Globemaster III to its home. Hickam is the first base outside the continental U.S. to permanently host the C-17. By the end of the year the base will be home to eight C-17s.
